Jana Grekul

Jana Grekul is Associate Professor in Sociology, Director of the BA Criminology program, and a member of the Centre for Criminological Research at the University of Alberta. Her research interests include women’s re-entry post-incarceration, Indigenous street and prison gangs, forced contraception and sexual sterilization, and women who ride motorcycles. She strives to privilege the voices of those who experiences and insights are often ignored or silenced.
