Provincial election: get informed and challenge candidates

VCC has assembled election priorities focused on affordable housing, income security, and public safety

17 April 2023

Albertans go to the polls on May 29, 2023. If you're anything like me, you want to be prepared with facts and questions when candidates door-knock in your area or hold community events and forums. VCC has been engaging with Enough for All Champions about their election priorities and Calgary’s Social Policy Collaborative has conducted research on several issues related to poverty in our province. Based on this, VCC has prepared a guide to help voters and candidates engage meaningfully about the challenges surrounding affordable housing, income security, and public safety that are present in all parts of our province.

"Get informed, analyze platforms, challenge candidates and vote."

VCC firmly believes that in order to make sustainable changes, policies and structures need to change. To make that happen, we need to tell elected officials what's important to us. So get informed, analyze platforms, challenge candidates and vote.
