What drives Buddie to push for a Calgary where there is Enough for All

"Oki, Danit'ada, Âba wathtech, Hello.

I am from the Stoney Nakoda, Kainai and Tsuu T’ina Nations. I have been raised in Treaty 7 Territory. I have always been connected to my culture through traditional teaching from my grandparents and my community.

In all my work I’ve strived to support others in their learning journey to sustainably incorporate Indigenous perspectives and ways of working into their organizations in Mohkinstisis. As a member of Treaty 7, my aim is to ensure that there is truthful and respectful collaboration between the Indigenous and non-Indigenous people of this area. Through my traditional teachings and western education, I have an understanding of how to balance both worlds and I’m proud to bring this understanding to organizations working to reduce poverty among our Indigenous communities."
