Alberta's Income Supports are Keeping People Poor

More than ever before, those receiving Alberta Works and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) payments are at higher risk of living in poverty than that of the rest of the population. Inadequacies in the current provincial income support programs entrench more people reliant on those income support programs below the poverty line.
