A few year’s ago, Dr. Fraser Mustard in his research of children, families and community shared that the vibrancy and health of a community is demonstrated by how it manages and supports its most vulnerable members. That has always resonated with me.
This, I believe, is Calgary’s Enough for All poverty reduction strategy’s underlying premise. Calgary’s adoption of the Enough for All strategy and its initial four-year investment through the United Way and the City of Calgary to champion, convene and facilitate a broad section of stakeholders in implementing the strategy is a phenomenal opportunity.
