Report to Community 2018

2018 marks the halfway point in the strategy. We have much to be thankful for, including child poverty in our province has been reduced by 50 per cent, the Government of Alberta increased and indexed our income support programs, the Government of Canada released Opportunity for All, a national strategy to reduce poverty, our province released a provincial housing strategy, 10,000 were housed through the housing first approach, 81,000 were approved in Calgary’s Fair Entry program so that they could more easily access subsidies for city services and more than 40,000 made use of the sliding scale transit pass. Together under the Enough for All banner, we are making a difference in our community.
