Calgary's Living Wage is $24.45

Vibrant Communities Calgary (VCC), in collaboration with the Alberta Living Wage Network (ALWN), releases a new living wage for 2024.

On November 18th, 2024, Vibrant Communities Calgary (VCC) in collaboration with the Alberta Living Wage Network (ALWN released a new living wage of $24.45 per hour for Calgary. The new living wage is almost $10 per hour, or 63 percent, higher than Alberta’s minimum wage.  Following the release, VCC spoke with media regarding the new living wage numbers and what they mean for Calgarians.
