Poverty Talks! officially joined Vibrant Communities Calgary in 2016 as an advisory group, offering insight into poverty reduction from a lived experience perspective.
Poverty Talks! gathered with community members for the 2020 International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Throughout the event, individuals shared personal stories of people with lived experience and how COVID-19 affected their lives. Poverty Talks! is working to create a better and deeper connected community for all. We are so grateful to all those who participated in the event. Particular thanks go to the help received from Heather Nelson and her students at Mount Royal University.
Poverty Talks! hosted community conversations about the Levers of Change. This is what they heard.
